My new canvas portrait...and a sale!

Remember the post of my daughter in the park that I said were canvas worthy. Well one of them made it to canvas and I am so excited. Now I have to decide were to hang it. It is sitting on the mantle right now and I am trying to decide to hang it there or over our bed. I would love it over our bed, but then most people won't get to see it. Over the fireplace would be great, but I think maybe it is not big enough for over the fireplace. It is 20x24, I never thought I would say it might not be big enough.

Since I am so excited about my beautiful new canvas, I decided to have a sale because I think everyone must have one. Until July 21st they will be 25% off. That is a great deal for an awesome piece of art for you home.

Here are some quick snaps of my new canvas.

Meet Keegan...

Last weekend I had a really fun session with Keegan and his Mommy and Daddy. Keegan is 18 months old and he really had me on the move. There were a few moments when Keegan sat still for the camera, the rest of the time he was running from place to place, bringing me rocks and just exploring. He reminds me of my daughter, I am sure she will be just as active pretty soon. At the end of the session Keegan and his Mommy and Daddy waded in the creek, his Daddy even got him a stick so he could "go fishing". Here are a few previews.

Not bad for a camera phone

Several weeks back my hubby and I had to get new cell phones. Mine literally fell apart, first one hinge and then the other LOL! So of course I wanted the phone with the 2.0 megapixel camera. My old phone had a camera but not a 2.0 megapixel. I have been pleased with the results and love having a camera everywhere I go. Here are some pictures with it straight from the phone just resized for here, not too shabby!

My sleeping baby in the park last weekend.

Eating dinner tonight. Please excuse the food on her face! She is so funny, when I hold the phone in front of my face to take a picture, she will peak around it at me.

Not all about the belly

I am often asked to do Maternity photos (or belly shots) and yesterday got the opportunity for a Maternity session that wasn't all about the belly shots. Angelia and Chris found me on an internet search and wanted me to do some Maternity photos that were a little different than my typically artistic Maternity photos, they wanted them to have a casual feel and to be fun. So we did our basic studio shots (with some fun ones thrown in) and then headed outdoors for some casual photos. They also wanted some with their fur-babies. Here a few samples.

At the end they hiked up their pants and waded in the creek.

3 year old and 9 month old

This morning I took a few photos of Bo and Kyndal. Bo is Kyndal's cousin and he was in for a visit from Ohio. We took these especially for their Nana. I think we got a few good shots. We only took a few because it is tough to keep the attention of a 3 year old and 9 month old for very long and at the same time. I think my favorite is the reading picture.

Pretty Name...pretty baby

This is my newest baby planner, Alyza. Isn't that the prettiest name, something you don't hear everyday. Her Mommy and Daddy and I had a good time sharing stories about having a new baby while Alyza was taking a break from photos and having her bottle. I look forward to seeing them every three months for her portraits.

Two images I love

Here are two images from the wedding on May 19th that I came across while proofing. I love these for two very different reasons.

The first one, I love the lens flare. The sun was bright this day, but this is one where I feel that the lens flare from the sun works.

The second image needs some back story. I am forever misplacing my lens cap, I misplaced it on this day too. I thought I left it downstairs where the girls where getting dressed, but I couldn't find it. In this picture you can see a lady walking toward me in the left corner, she was the mom of the ring bearer and flower girl. In this picture she is bringing me my lens cap!
