My Nephew, Billy

My nephew Billy is graduating from Cookeville High School on May 19th. We are so proud of him. This weekend I did some casual pictures of him to put in his annoucements. We went to the train depot in Cookeville and are pretty pleased with the results. Let me tell you, working with family is sometimes harder than strangers, especially when it is your 18 year old nephew who questions everything you do, LOL!

Pictures in the Park May 5th

I have two openings for pictures in the park on May 5th for those who are interested. I have a 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. time slot. These pictures will be done in the Japanese Garden in Centennial park. The session fee will be $25.

*Because these are 30 minute sessions, one child per session please.

*Rain date is TBD

Little Miss Savannah

One thing that is great about being a children's photographer is seeing these babies grow up before my eyes. 6 months pass and they are back for another session each time I am amazed at how much they have grown. Now that I have a daughter, when the older children come in I can imagine my daughter's next stage of development, because I can see the milestones first hand. When the babies younger than my daughter come in, I try to remember my baby being that small. Here is one of my babies, Savannah, who I got to photograph at only a few weeks then at 6 months and now at a year.

Stay at home mom/photographer

Many of you know for the last 8 months I have been juggling a full time job, a new daughter, my photography, and all of the other things that come with being a wife and mother. Well as of this past week I will now have more time for the three things that I love the most, my husband, my daughter and my photography. We made the decision for me to quit my full-time job and April 6th was my last day at a job I had been with for 6 years and a nearly 10 year career as a computer programmer. I am so exciting to be with my daughter everyday and have more time to devote to my business.

Baby Jackson..

My Maternity/Newborn client that I posted photos of in my blog in January signed little Jackson up for the baby plan. He came in for his 3 month (almost 4 month) portraits last week. Although he was tired and hungry he was still smiling. See my old blog with his newborn photo here.

Spring...

Spring is just flying by, here are a few captures that just say spring to me. Cherry Blossoms, putting out the bird feeder, and flip flops.

Who's Following Me?

I picked up some cute new props today and tried it out with my daughter. She is the perfect age for this photo, 7 months today. We can hardly believe it, babies grow up so fast!!!
