Let it snow...

We had our first snow of the season... well of the last couple of seasons last Friday. Although our daughter is a little too young to go out and play in it, Momma had to get a couple of pics of her first snow. I wish we had a little more snow here, as it would make for great photo ops and all of the white makes for great light for photographs.

Love Letters

It's a little late this year, but look for some Valentine Day session specials next year. Here is a series of my daughter that I did today. She is not even 5 months old and look at how good she is sitting on her own!!

Help me get out of the studio

Although I try many new things in the studio with different backdrops and props, sometimes I just feel it is more of the same. I would love to do some more environmental type of portraits and more portraits using natural light. So do you want pictures of your baby in his or her nursery, want a pic of that new baby curled up in a dresser drawer, or your kids jumping on the bed; then book an on location session and help me get out of the studio. Here are some examples that I have done in the past.

Meet Molly and Jackson

Back in November I got a chance to do a very artsy maternity session with a new customer, Molly. It was quite different than what most people want (or are willing to do), but it was fun doing something different. We were quite pleased with the results. Molly returned at the end of December to have photos done of her sweet little Jackson. Take a look at the results...pregnancy to baby.

A different kind of session

Recently Bret's Dad and Stepmom came for a visit. Since they live in Texas, they don't get to see their new grandaugter very often. This gave me an opportunity for a very different session. You see Bret's stepmom, Terrie, has breast cancer and was undergoing chemo at the time. She choose to shave off all of her hair before she started losing it. So I got to document her new "bald is beautiful" look. We think she looks beautiful and are so happy that she is done with her chemo.
